Hello, my name is Sophia Jaggi.
I am creating this space to explore concepts in early childhood education and learning pathways to nurture a growth mindset. It is my personal desire to always be learning, and this blog is a way for me to do so. I hope that it creates value for the reader as well.
Currently, I am pursuing a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership in Early Childhood Education at Mills College in Oakland, CA.
I am committed to listening, learning, and researching the ways in which early childhood education can create the conditions for children to understand and expand upon their unique capacities.
My interests in early education are focused on the development of the whole child through opportunities to create art and play, as well as how to support self regulation and encourage healthy relationships.
As I progress in study, I hope to contribute to the early childhood education field through research into program quality and advocating for increased and equitable distribution of funding to strengthen early care and education for all children.
I believe that early childhood education is essential for our future. Education is the path to sustain generations of peaceful existence – living in harmony with ourselves, each other, and our environment.
